Everyday Encounters

I am really excited to have had a piece of work accepted by the Society of Designer Craftsmen for the Everyday Encounters exhibition at the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow, London.

Everyday Encounters is a response to Morris’s rallying call to ‘have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful’.  Twenty-eight artists from across the country exhibit striking new work, including textiles, ceramics, book art, metal and jewellery, all especially created for this show.

The exhibition opens on 13th October 2012 (see details below).

The William Morris Gallery is a Georgian house that was the family home of William Morris. As well as  Everyday Encounters the newly restored museum has objects relating to all aspects of Wiliam Morris’s life and work and is well worth a visit!
