Today marks the end of a busy week and I have been quite productive.
I have managed to finish work that I had started………
….these 9 small waxed cloth collages are 16×16 cms and are mounted on blocks.
I have made a small book …..
…..that is to illustrate a workshop that I am running (more on that later).
I have started a new piece that continues the series of Tide works (here) that explore the passing of time and change within the environment.
The piece is made with a heavy, absorbent linen that will be saturated in salt solution when I have finished the stitching. Over time the water will evaporate leaving the cloth encased in salty encrustations .
Finally, I am looking forward to talking to the Wokingham and District Embroiderer’s Guild tonight about my work.
I can take a deep breath and take stock tomorrow!
