A landscape in flux

I am in Norfolk for a few days and this afternoon we went to the beach, walking out over the sand as far as we could go. The surface of this land is under water as much as it is exposed. Covered by the tide twice a day its surface is ever-changing. Today the sand had been manipulated in unpredictable ways; the result of a fast-flowing tide. These are marks on the land that will endure only until the next tide covers them.
